It’s not ground-mount friendly due to all the fissures in the land, but even if you’re a low level, there’s Copper Ore to be had everywhere you go. Copper Ore – 444

The monsters here are wildly spread, reducing the risk of unnecessary fighting or sneak attacks. It takes longer to traverse, but the high amount of copper ore yielded from this area makes it one of the best Alliance locations to visit. Advantages: Dun Morogh also has a plethora of low level quests. Miners under level 10 will find this place ideal for mining and leveling up.

i dont know about the horde side but on the alliance side copper is over stocked in dun morough. my gnome engineering is already at 120 just by using the copper there and hes only at lvl 10. azuremyst isle also is good. there is a naga cave there with 3-4 veins that respawned for min very quickly. just mine the cave dry then head to odyseuss landing and back and the veins will have already respawned. used that place for my mining and also to farm so i could buy my mount.
